What is RSS?
Really Simple Syndication (RSS) is an XML-based format for distributing and sharing content over the World Wide Web, such as news, stories, and headlines. When used in conjunction with an RSS reader, one can view data feeds from various news sources, such as the Lake Erie College of Medicine (LECOM), including headlines, story summaries, as well as links to the full stories.
How does one access RSS?
Readers
Readers (sometimes called RSS/News Aggregators) can download and display RSS feeds for a user. There are a number of free and commercial readers across the Web available for download.
LECOM provides a visitor with a reader of its own RSS news feed. Click here to open up the reader in a new window.
Blogs
Blogs are websites or webpages which are comprised of usually short, updated items and links. Blogs can be used as a multispecialty publishing tool which can be utilized for announcements, personal journals, and discussions.

To view the LECOM feed in a reader:
1. Copy the URL which corresponds to your type of reader
2. Paste the URL into the reader of your choice
